Updating blog....

My Picasa album is full and this is how I manage the pics for my blog. I am currently exploring how to fix this....
Apologies forthe disruption to normal service - the baking is still happening and pics will be uploaded after the fix!

Baking day!

Phew! This post finally brings my blog up to date!  It's taken a while, but now everything is where it should be and I intend to
update as I go from now on... Here's what I've done today.

First up - cupcakes to take to a friends house...

Then, I promised my hubby a cake of his choice to take to work to celebrate completing his big project - more on this next week when it's filled and frosted!

And some bread - this is just our usual loaf that I bake for our bread needs.  This one is plain white - see my earlier blog on how I make it for how I make it!!

I also baked a special celebration cake - I think it's going to be a big one as that's a 9" tin... again - more on this when it's finished!

I did this too - not baking, but apple sauce that I like to have with porridge or yogurt!

Strawberries...

It's not cake, it's not baking, but it was very, very delicious!

Flapjack!

Because I fancied it! and I took some as a gift to a playdate.  It's just a simple oats, syrup and butter recipe with the addition of a little orange zest to liven it up a little!

Valentines Day 2012

I always like to make my lovely hubby some sweet treats to share the love at work with on Valentines Day.  This year I made him a selection of biscuits - his favourite biscuits... I did Nigella recipe custard creams, Hairy Bikers fabulous viennese whirls, and giant jammy dodgers...

Cupcake no.1's Birthday!

This was the first time I hadn't made a cake for the birthday of my child (eek!), but we had a lot going on in January with Cupcake hubby finishing a major project, as well as birthday following close on Christmas and illness in the house and so on and so forth...  PLUS there was a request, not for a bus this year, but for a red ferrari, just like a certain very famous red car in a certain Disney film.  It also happened that I had seen a cake of this nature in the supermarket and it was perfect, so that's what I did!  I did make some matching cupcakes though!
